Processing of general information when visiting our website and creation of log files
When accessing the website and its content, personal data is only processed to the extent technically necessary (in particular: IP address; name of the file accessed; date and time of access; browser type and version; your operating system; the web page from which you reached us). This information is technically necessary in order to deliver the contents of our website requested by you without any problems. It is regularly stored when you access a website and in server log files. Your data is processed in particular for the following purposes:
Ensuring the use of and connection to the web offer of the Clinical Neuropsychology Unit, ensuring and evaluating system security and stability, and for other administrative purposes.
The processing of your personal data is based on our legitimate interest arising from the aforementioned data collection purposes (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO). We do not assign this data to specific persons and do not combine it with other data sources. It is not passed on to third parties.
The legal basis for the temporary storage of the data and the log files is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.
Like many other websites, we also use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard drive. Through this, we automatically receive certain data such as IP address, browser used, operating system about your computer and your connection to the internet.
The legal basis for the processing of personal data using cookies is Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO.
Cookies cannot be used to launch programs or transfer viruses to a computer. Based on the information contained in cookies, we can facilitate your navigation and enable the correct display of our web pages.
Under no circumstances will the data we collect be passed on to third parties or linked to personal data without your consent.
To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption procedures (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS.
When registering to receive our newsletter, the data you provide will be used exclusively for this purpose. Subscribers may also be informed by e-mail about circumstances relevant to the service or registration (for example, changes to the newsletter offer or technical circumstances).
For an effective registration, we require a valid e-mail address. In order to verify that a registration is actually made by the owner of an e-mail address, we use the "double-opt-in" procedure. For this purpose, we log the order for the newsletter, the sending of a confirmation e-mail and the receipt of the response requested herewith. No further data is collected. The data is used exclusively for sending the newsletter and is not passed on to third parties.
The legal basis for the processing of the data after registration for the newsletter by the user is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO if the user has given his/her consent.
Contact form or contact e-learning
If you contact us by e-mail or contact form, the information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing the request and for possible follow-up questions.
The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. e DSGVO in conjunction with § 4 HmbDSG, if the processing of the personal data you have provided is necessary to process your request in the context of fulfilling our tasks. The communication of any additional information by you is voluntary and based on consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) a DSGVO.
Deletion or blocking of data
We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data economy. We therefore only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes stated here or as stipulated by the various storage periods provided for by law. After the respective purpose has ceased to exist or these periods have expired, the corresponding data is routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions.
Use of script libraries (Google Web Fonts)
In order to display our content correctly and graphically appealing across browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries such as Google Webfonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/) on this website. Google Web Fonts are transferred to your browser's cache to avoid multiple loading. If the browser does not support Google Web Fonts or prevents access, content is displayed in a standard font.
Calling up script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the operator of the library. It is theoretically possible - although it is currently unclear whether and, if so, for what purposes - that the operators of such libraries collect data.
Disclosure of data to third parties
We embed YouTube videos on some of our websites. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers is established. This tells Youtube which pages you are visiting. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your surfing behaviour to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your Youtube account first.
If you have deactivated the saving of cookies for the Google Ad programme, you will not have to expect any such cookies when watching Youtube videos. However, Youtube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you wish to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser.
Further information on data protection at "Youtube" can be found in the provider's data protection statement at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/
Personal data for contacting studies
Personal data are processed in our clinical studies. In doing so, we follow the principles in Art. 5 (1) DS-GVO for the processing of personal data.
In most of our surveys, we ask for general data to describe you (age, gender, education). In most cases, we also require an email address from you to contact us. All email addresses are treated confidentially, are not publicly accessible and are not passed on to third parties. The anonymised or pseudonymised data will be stored for at least 10 years. However, whenever you wish, you can request the deletion of the data collected from you (before data evaluation). The data collected will be stored exclusively for the purpose of conducting the study. Only data that are necessary for the evaluation of the study are requested. The security of data transmission via the Internet is also guaranteed by SSL encryption (see above). The evaluations can be published in professional journals without disclosure of personal data. Data protection regulations are observed for the processing of personal data.
Your rights to information, correction, blocking, deletion and objection
You have the right to obtain information about your personal data stored by us at any time. You also have the right to have your personal data corrected, blocked or, apart from the mandatory data storage for business processing, deleted. Please contact our data protection officer for this purpose. You will find the contact details at the bottom of this page.
To ensure that a blocking of data can be taken into account at any time, this data must be kept in a blocking file for control purposes. You can also request the deletion of data, unless there is a legal archiving obligation. If such an obligation exists, we will block your data upon request.
You can make changes or revoke consent by notifying us accordingly with effect for the future.
